As we reach the end of term here's a quick look back over the past year at NIA! It's impossible to include everything, but this will be a reminder of just some of the events, activities and moments we've shared this year. A huge thank you to everyone in the NIA community for helping to make this another fantastic year! #dnaofnia #EMATters

Last week, NIA6 CCF cadets enjoyed an action packed trip to Weymouth, taking part in activities including sailing, windsurfing, paddle sports, mountain biking and rock climbing. Some cadets completed their Level 2 Powerboating Course and gained their licence, while others worked towards their Bronze Rookie Lifeguarding qualification. The week also included a brilliant karaoke night, featuring some memorable solos from Mr Pether! It was a fantastic week filled with new experiences, valuable skills and plenty of great memories. BIG ANNOUNCEMENT! NIA6 newly established Basketball Academy will be competing in the CBL in the upcoming 26/27 season. Yesterday, our Year 11 students took part in the NIA6 Basketball Academy pathway experience as part of day two of our taster event. Students met the Head Coach before heading onto court for a practical basketball session, giving them a real insight into the skills, standards and opportunities available through the pathway. It was great to see students getting involved, showing their energy and enjoying the session. Thank you to everyone who attended and took part! #NIA6 #DNAOFNIA #EMATters

The #EMATters Celebration Awards took place yesterday evening and was a fantastic celebration of the hard work, achievements and dedication that has made the past year so great! Well done to all the worthy winners and finalists and thanks to everyone who attended and helped make the event such a success, including Pupil Parliament chair Mary who gave out the awards and also presented the #EMATters Achievement Award which is chosen by the Pupil Parliament. Today, our Year 11 students took part in the first day of our NIA6 two-day taster experience! Students had the opportunity to explore NIA6, take part in their first round of taster sessions and get a feel for what life at sixth form could look like. It was great to welcome both NIA students and external applicants as they began the experience. We look forward to seeing everyone again tomorrow for day two, which will include the second round of taster sessions and the Basketball Academy pathway experience. #NIA6 #DNAOFNIA #EMATters
